Catching up

March 26, 2011

So the magnesium supplement knocked me right out last night.  First solid night of sleep in longer than I want to think about.  It was great.  It wasn’t enough to fix all that I missed but it was a terrific start!

So tonight I decided to try a craft that I got out of a children’s magazine.  I figure if I can do it without loosing my cool, then maybe my son will.  Nope.  While I got it done, this is NOT something I will have my son do.  I will do it again but I will have to see if I can figure out a better method because by the time I was done cutting everything I was ready to be done with the craft.  I did use a pretty picture out of a calendar to do it.  So it is a form of recycling but the cutting of the strips was zero fun.

Last week I made up another felt “egg” but never got the oomph together to photograph it.  So here you go.

I think so, hmm would the kidlet be able to do the weaving if you and hubby cut all the strips?

maybe in a couple of years but he wouldn’t have the attention span to last through a single basket at this point. I’m tempted to try again, only weave ribbons through it instead of paper strips.

I am missing that shredder we used to have that did strips of paper instead of confetti…that would have been perfect.

that’s what I’m thinking…I’m also wondering how that rag bowl I made would look with ribbon…it had a paper form to it too.

Now, this is a “coincidence”! I just purchased “From Cave to Sky” online, then click onto a blog called “4 of Wands”, because I find the Tarot interesting, and come across your blog, one of the authors of the book! The book is due to arrive in about 3-5 days.

I would love to hear what you think of it. I am the editor of the book and also have a few pieces within it. this book was a labor of love. That does seem like an odd coincidence though!

It was my Halloween costume from a couple of years ago…so call it a version of Catwoman. She was one of the people I wanted to grow up to be…along with Wonder Woman…Wonder Kitty?

The book arrived today! My favorite part about this is that today is Thursday, which is Jupiter’s Day in Astrology. Since the god Jupiter is also known as Zeus, I feel it is especially auspicious for it arrive today, and a day earlier than the estimated arrival.
