Project catch-up

July 1, 2013

So…spent the weekend shooting my 9mm and my pink trimmed AR-15 with a .22 bolt and a .223 bolt.  (It is pink trimmed in the hopes that the boy-child’s pink allergy will keep him away from it…no such luck but then hubby got cotton candy pink instead of neon.  He’ll be fixing that.  😉 Ok…so it was cheaper to get the pink by a good amount.)  Did the hot brass dance several times…I was jerking the 9 just right to cause brass to go down my shirt.  On the AR, I have to shoot left handed as my dominant eye is the left which puts my right arm in range of flying brass.  Despite the burns, it was fun.

Got some projects finished or at least made some good progress.

I re-did the fairy garden that my mom gave me for my 40th birthday.  Did some shoring up, replaced some plants, etc.

finished the pillow and sent it off to the recipient.

A very late gift.  Terrible friend I am.

Started out as large  picnic table umbrella that got broke.  So I took it off, sewed down the vents and covered the center.  Ta da!  A picnic blanket or play blanket.

finally finished the edge stitching

Eternal Vigilance now has a finished edge.

Wow! Well done you! I obviously need to crack on with my tapestry to catch up with your finishes!

I’ll have you know (now that I’ve come out of my den again… Hey! I’m still alive!) that I love that pillow… It has a special place on my sofa, where I do most of my reading. 🙂
