Xi again

So I bit the bullet and tried ritual again, for Zeus since it is Thursday.  Still forgot about the final offering after the sacrificial prayer but found something nearby to offer (even after writing it down on the paper AND highlighting it!).  I offered jasmine tea to the Nobles, amaranth to the ancestors, incense to the gods, and scented oil for Zeus.

Omen still came up as Xi.  [head/desk and repeat] I do not know why!  Very frustrated.  I’m really starting to hate the omens section of the ritual.  I’m just trying to honor the gods and seemingly having it rejected.  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!

Everything else went fine.

Maybe what they want from you is a different kind of offering? Have you tried offering something that you’ve made? I am not familiar with your oracle, so I don’t have a reference to put with Xi, so I can’t say if it has more nuanced meaning than “No”.

Also, if you’re having trouble, maybe try doing a separate divination, maybe outside of ritual (I usually light a tea candle as an offering, and some incense, but don’t do a full ritual) and ask them to speak through your oracle and let you know what they would like to see from you as an offering. You might not get a concrete answer, but then maybe something will spark in your subconscious and give you an idea!

I did a separate divination. Yesterday’s post. Then did another that I did not post asking Zeus what he wanted. They both said the same thing keep trying, take it slowly, pay attention to the moment not the worries.

I agree with the Swamp Druid here. Unfortunately, I can’t offer any advice, as my omens have usually been positive since I started performing ADF-style ritual. Keep going, with sincerity and joy in your heart. You’ll get it!

    Blessings,
    Victoria
