Affirmation Angel

March 22, 2012

As I’ve mentioned my sister is going through a tough time.  I’m trying to be supportive, encouraging and still get her moving in the right direction.  I’m probably failing and badly.  She is so discouraged…between lack of money, lack of quality job opportunities and her children’s sperm donor…it just seems never ending and no good solutions.

Any way, I was trying to continue my efforts at clearing communication with my guides when I kept getting prompts to make my sister a paper doll similar to the one I did for my aunt.  Now before my sister lost her internet access, she would often repost the positive affirmations she’d see on Facebook on her wall.  So  I typed them all (plus a few others) into MSWord using a pretty font.  I then made her a paper doll out of these affirmations.

Take one sheet of affirmations and cut out paper doll parts

I used the templates from here.  I then “dressed” the doll and glued it onto a sheet of the same affirmations that had been printed onto card stock.

Affirmation angel which will be mail to my sister.

Pink for self love.  An angel because my sister collects angels.  I’ll mail this to her along with a copy of the affirmations that she can read.

That’s a lovely idea – truly from the heart. I am sure she will appreciate it… and I hope things start moving in the right direction for her soon. And you being there and supporting her is more than a lot of people get, so please don’t feel like you’re not achieving anything 🙂

Thanks. As the elder sister, I feel like I ought to be able to fix it in some fashion or get her well on her way to fixing it herself. I can’t do either. This is a mess that she got herself into when she married a Texan who had already lied to her once. So she is hundreds of miles away from family with two children and feeling the strain. My heart breaks for her but I can’t do it for her and can’t afford to send her money either. It is very hard not to feel like a failure in this…some days even keeping her motivated is beyond me. I need that magic wand that can fix everything…

Thanks so much for sharing this. Sometimes someone comes along and shares something that goes beyond their expectations. I will be borrowing your idea to share with a friend who needs a little encouragement and this is truly beautiful.

Thanks. Glad it sparked a desire to create one for someone else. I share my projects in hopes that it will do exactly this.
