Thankful Day 10

Today my son’s school had a Thanksgiving Dinner for lunch to which parents were invited.  I wasn’t planning on going.  My son had a melt down when he found out.  I figured he didn’t care because he never mentioned it.  Luckily, I was still able to get a ticket.   I dressed up. I put on make-up (rare!) which my son had asked me to put on before I took him to school because it made my eyes prettier (I didn’t then though).  I even curled my hair (even more rare!).  I got to the school to find a very happy little boy who was delighted that I put in all that effort all for him.  He was so delighted that when we got home he wouldn’t let me change out of my outfit.

So today I’m glad that I put forth the effort to not only go to the lunch but to dress up for my little boy. (Believe me, it WAS an effort because my insomnia is back in full force.  I didn’t sleep a wink last night just dozed the whole time.)  He was very pleased.
